Related Employment Experience

Software Developer, Aetherquest Solutions (currently held)
My responsibilities chiefly include testing, debugging, enhancing, and customizing the flagship product, an end-to-end web technology platform for conferences written in PHP and using Zend Framework. In addition, I sometimes build small-scale CMS-enabled websites for the company’s web-design department. These smaller sites are written in a custom-made Cake package I developed.

Web Programmer, Daily News-Record
Maintained, enhanced, and debugged the website dnronline.com, the online home of The Daily News-Record newspaper. Mostly this entailed integrating and upgrading off-the-shelf components into the website, as well as writing scripts to perform specific tasks to make the site perform better.

Webmaster, Inside Success Radio
Designed the database-driven website, insidesuccessradio.com (using php-mysql). This involved developing html template pages that could be populated using a mysql database. Dynamic content was accessed and manipulated through php. Most pages required both a front-end view for visitors and a control panel for members of the ISR team. This position also required working with cPanel and WHM to interface with an Apache-based dedicated server. Most database development took place using phpMyAdmin.

Php Developer, Bargain Publishers
Developed php applications including a contact-management system and content organization tool to help people coordinate email-based book promotion between numerous opt-in lists (not spam). Also developed a membership website-based tool called Edoc Wizard to help people publish their electronic content to Amazon using the ONIX 2.0 XML specification.

This position involved extensive use of php and javascript to build fully-featured web applications with intuitive and interactive user interfaces. Php coding was a combination of inline and object-oriented design. I was responsible for designing, prototyping, building, testing, maintenance and customer support. In the case of Edoc Wizard, I also drafted the initial proposal.

Other Employment Teacher, Secondary School, Westminster Christian Academy
Taught Chemistry, Algebra 2, Drama, and Bible classes. This also required the development of a new lab curriculum for Chemistry while managing a very limited budget.
